Author of AI in BI — forthcoming from Wiley
Author, former VP of Product at a leading analytics vendor, independent advisor. I help analytics vendors and data leaders navigate the AI shift, win new markets, and upskill their teams.
Large language models are reshaping how organizations build, deliver, and consume analytics. This book is the practical guide to what's real, what's hype, and what practitioners actually need to know to put AI to work in their BI stack.
Drawing on hands-on experience applying LLMs to real analytics workflows, it covers everything from AI-assisted data modeling and natural language querying to the organizational challenges of adoption.

You're building a great product — maybe integrating AI — but struggling with positioning, analyst visibility, or reaching buyers. I've been on your side of the table as VP of Product at a leading analytics vendor.
You know AI is changing analytics but you're not sure what's real and what to actually do about it. I'm writing the book on it — literally — and I work with data leaders to cut through the hype and put AI to work in their analytics stack.
I've led successful analyst submission processes from the inside. I know what moves the needle, what analysts actually care about, and how to structure a submission that doesn't get ignored.
Positioning, messaging, and go-to-market for analytics vendors — especially those integrating AI. I'll tell you what's actually landing with buyers, not what your internal team hopes is true.
Hands-on training for data teams building analytics applications with AI. Not a generic AI overview — practical workshops grounded in real BI workflows and LLM use cases.
Reaching data and analytics decision-makers through content with real practitioner credibility.
Sponsored content, product deep-dives, and co-created video through Super Data Brothers and my social channels. Your product in front of an engaged audience of analytics buyers and practitioners.
White papers, blog posts, and thought leadership written by someone who's actually used the tools. Not marketing copy — content that practitioners trust because it reads like a practitioner wrote it.
Keynotes, panels, and presentations at data and analytics events. Opinionated, direct, and grounded in experience — not a vendor pitch disguised as a talk.
I co-host Super Data Brothers with my brother Eric — a weekly livestream on YouTube and LinkedIn where we break down what's actually happening in the analytics industry. Incredible interviews, tool reviews, market trends, vendor drama, and honest takes you won't get from an analyst report.
Recent writing and commentary on the analytics landscape.
Four steps to overcome legacy BI and prepare for AI-driven analytics.
SubstackReflections on the end of an era and what it signals about where BI is heading.
SubstackEnd dashboard spam forever and stop building stuff nobody cares about.
I started as a practitioner — building reports, managing data warehouses, and trying to get executives to actually look at dashboards. Then I moved to the vendor side, eventually becoming VP of Product at a leading analytics vendor. Now I'm writing the book on AI in BI for Wiley.
That path gave me something unusual: I know what buyers actually need because I was one, I know how vendors actually build and sell because I did it, and I'm deep in the AI transformation that's reshaping both sides. When I advise a vendor on their analyst submission, I've written one. When I help a company evaluate tools, I've built the tools they're evaluating.
